The HyperProbe team met in London on the 9th and 10th of September 2024 hosted by University College London to discuss the achievements and progress of the past year. This meeting marks the conclusion of the second year of the project which was launched at October 1, 2022.
On the first day, the meeting began by presenting the main result of the past year to the HyperProbe External Advisory Board. The presentations sparked a lively and insightful discussion regarding AI, machine-learning approaches, ethics procedures and potential collaboration opportunities.
In the afternoon, the PhD students in the HyperProbe team introduced themselves and their role in constructing the HyperProbe device. The Consortium is proud to involve 4 PhD students in this novel project and to support them throughout. To read more about the PhD students, their background and current work, click here. On the second day of the meeting, all Work Packages were given the opportunity to present their work and to discuss the challenges and difficulties they faced or anticipate for the next phase of the project. After a long day of discussions the next steps of the project are clear for each Work Package.
Once the two-day Consortium meeting ended, the technical team headed to Birmingham to fNIRS 2024, where the HyperProbe team presented 4 posters.
Thank you to UCL for being a great host! The HyperProbe consortium will convene again in-person in 2025 in Vienna.
